Adam Barr is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at GitHub since July 2020, Adam oversees a diverse engineering team responsible for building GitHub Actions, which enhances CI/CD processes for users. Prior to GitHub, Adam spent 23 years at Microsoft, where roles included Principal Group Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer Lead, focusing on improving service resiliency and security within Azure DevOps. Adam's earlier positions at Microsoft also included contributions to DevOps processes and test management for Team Foundation Server. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed in 1997.
