Andre Cruz is a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in building and managing complex software systems. Currently at GitHub since June 2019, Andre focuses on building streaming data pipelines with Kafka. Prior experience includes a tenure at New Relic, Inc. where Andre developed a high-capacity Infrastructure platform capable of monitoring millions of entities in real time and operated numerous microservices and clusters. Earlier roles include senior engineering positions at KIXEYE, where Andre built the core service platform for microservices in AWS and contributed to the launch of the War Commander game, and co-founding Codeuber LLC, which developed a scalable SEO-ready CMS. Andre holds a Bachelor of Science in Game Development from Full Sail University.
