Andrew Eisenberg

Andrew Eisenberg, Ph.D., is a seasoned software engineer and staff manager at GitHub since March 2020, leading a team focused on building CodeQL and Copilot Autofix, with CodeQL running extensive security analysis on over one million repositories daily. Previous roles include senior software engineer at owl.co, where Andrew developed a data ingestion engine for a KYC tool, and technical lead at Ganchrow Scientific, overseeing the development of a live-betting application. Andrew has also held senior engineering positions at Tasktop Technologies, Pivotal Inc., VMware, and SpringSource, primarily leading projects related to AspectJ and Groovy development tools. Andrew earned a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of British Columbia, specializing in compilers, programming languages, and IDE design, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Rice University.
