C. Dylan Shearer is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at GitHub since March 2022, C. Dylan has previously held significant roles including Director of Engineering for Reliability and Senior Software Engineer at HeadSpin, where responsibilities included designing a reliable software platform. At Aruba, C. Dylan designed and implemented a cloud-based distributed system focused on vulnerability detection, while at Niara, Inc., the implementation of secure communication systems was achieved. C. Dylan's foundational experience includes roles as a Computer Scientist for the United States Department of Defense and Software Engineer at American Greetings, complemented by a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Kent State University.
