Clay Nelson is the WW Industry Solutions Strategy Lead at GitHub, where responsibilities include shaping go-to-market strategies and enhancing client engagement tailored to industry-specific needs in an AI-driven, cloud-native landscape. With extensive experience in sales and business development, Clay has held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President of Sales for Central US and Global Automotive at GitHub, and Director of Business Development at BitPay. Clay's prior roles at IBM and other technology firms involved driving revenue growth, mentoring teams, and implementing strategic sales initiatives. Clay holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Jacksonville State University, in addition to a certification in Digital Transformation Platform Strategies from MIT Sloan School of Management.
