Courtney Claessens is a Senior Product Manager at GitHub, focused on assisting developers in building secure software since February 2022. Previously, at the Canadian Digital Service, Courtney managed the COVID Alert app with over 6 million users, held the role of Interim Head of Product Management overseeing five product managers, and led efforts to enhance user-centered practices within government product teams. Prior experience includes a Product Engineer role at Esri, where Courtney contributed to a government data-sharing platform reaching over 1 million daily active users, as well as a Proposal Writer position at Strategic Mapping Inc., and a Youth Programs Leader role at the City of Brampton.
