Dan Shanahan

Dan Shanahan is a seasoned professional in application security and network performance, currently serving as the Field Services Director for Security Products at GitHub since October 2021. In this role, Dan assists customers and open source maintainers in integrating application security into their development processes. Prior to GitHub, Dan held various engineering positions at Intuit from September 2014 to October 2021, focusing on platform security, cloud engineering, and performance analysis. Dan's experience also includes network performance services at Target and network administration at The Bergquist Company. Dan holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Information Technology from Brown College and completed extended studies at UC San Diego in 2020.
