Dylan Birtolo

Dylan Birtolo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in writing, game design, and technical writing. Currently serving as a Senior Editor and Writer at GitHub since May 2024, Dylan has also contributed to Lynnvander Studios as a Game Designer since September 2018, working on notable titles such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Evil Dead 2. As a self-employed author since 2004, Dylan has crafted numerous short stories and novels within both original and established intellectual properties. Additional technical writing roles include positions at MongoDB, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft, where responsibilities ranged from documenting complex features to creating educational content. Dylan holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, awarded in 2000.
