Ed Glas

Ed Glas is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering, primarily in roles at Microsoft and GitHub. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at GitHub since July 2020, Ed Glas focuses on enhancing repository security and usability while leading initiatives for scalable repo policy management. Prior to this, Ed Glas held various leadership positions at Microsoft from 2002 to 2020, including Principal Group Software Engineering Manager for Azure Pipelines, Repos, and Boards, where oversight for significant products within Azure DevOps was provided. Ed Glas began a career in software development in the late 1980s, with contributions to multiple companies and projects, including founding HAHT Software. Educational qualifications include advanced degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree from Calvin College.
