Eddie Aftandilian

Eddie Aftandilian is a Principal Researcher at GitHub since March 2021, specializing in the development of GitHub Copilot, an AI-powered code generation tool for VS Code, and collaborating with OpenAI and Microsoft Research to enhance the Codex model. Prior experience includes a decade at Google from September 2011 to February 2021 as a Staff Software Engineer, where Eddie contributed to key Java tools and managed teams focused on Java and JVM development.
