Eiji Shinohara

Eiji Shinohara is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in solutions engineering and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Solutions Engineer at GitHub since June 2025, Eiji previously held the position of Senior Manager, Solutions Engineer - Japan at Algolia, where responsibilities included field engineering, public speaking, and customer support. Prior to that, Eiji managed solutions architecture for startups at Amazon Web Services, contributing to public speaking and technical support initiatives. Eiji's early career includes various roles at Rakuten, focusing on software engineering and architecture, and at TIS Inc., specializing in Java development and J2EE architecture. Eiji holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Tsukuba and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Aoyama Gakuin University.
