Emily Gould

Emily Gould has extensive experience in content strategy and documentation, currently serving as the Director of Docs and Director of Documentation Strategy & Platform at GitHub since August 2013. In these roles, Emily leads product management and content design efforts aimed at enhancing user experiences with GitHub Docs. Prior experience includes roles such as Staff Content Strategist and Senior Content Strategist, as well as Community Relations Coordinator at Village Learning Place. Emily also worked as an English language Trainer at E.L.T. The English Language Trainers GmbH and held various positions related to community engagement and library services early in their career. Emily holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Political Science from Glendon Campus of York University.
