Jannes Peters

Jannes Peters is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in user experience and interaction design. Currently serving as Design Director at GitHub since May 2020, Jannes oversees the design for GitHub Mobile, client apps, and Copilot, alongside prior responsibilities in repositories and pull requests. Jannes has also held key positions in Microsoft as Principal Design Manager for both GitHub and Microsoft To-Do, leading design and research teams. Previous roles include Experience Design Director at McKinsey & Company, Service Design Lead at Fjord, and various design positions at Microsoft, Daimler Truck AG, and Philips Design. Jannes holds a Master's degree in Interaction Design from Umeå Institute of Design and an Intermediate Diploma in Industrial and Interaction Design from Muthesius Academy of Arts.
