Jean Hélie

Jean Hélie is a Senior Research Engineer at Microsoft, where they focus on the efficient implementation of deep learning approaches for computational chemistry and physics problems since 2024. Previously, they worked as a Nuclear Chemistry Engineer at the Electric Power Research Institute from 2006 to 2007 and served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Oxford in 2015. They have also held various positions, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer at GitHub, where they leverage machine learning techniques to improve code security, and Supply Chain Manager at L'Oréal from 2009 to 2010. Jean earned their Diplôme d'Ingénieur from Ecole Centrale Lyon and an MPhil in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
