John Ruiz

John Ruiz is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and security operations. Currently serving as a Security Operations Engineer at GitHub since June 2018, John has previously held positions as a Software Engineer at Rentlytics and a Software Project Manager at UserZoom, where responsibilities included leading integration efforts following the acquisition of YouEye. As VP of Engineering at YouEye, John oversaw technical initiatives prior to the acquisition. John’s career also includes significant roles at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and Berico Technologies, where John was a Principal IRAD Engineer responsible for technical leadership and management. Early career experience includes software engineering at Lockheed Martin. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University.
