Jon Provancher currently serves as Chief of Staff and Chief Information Security Officer at GitHub, having joined in February 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Technical Program Management and Director of Engineering Operations at Syntellis Performance Solutions from April 2020 to July 2021, and various managerial and engineering positions at McAfee from February 2016 to December 2019, where Jon led teams and improved software development processes. Earlier in Jon's career, experience at Intel Corporation included roles as Failure Analysis Engineer, Quality & Reliability Engineer, and Software Engineer, focusing on defect identification, process improvement, and maintenance of critical applications. Jon holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Oregon State University.
