Kate Pate

Kate Pate is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as the Director of Web Experience and Director of Digital Marketing at GitHub since September 2020. Prior to this role, Kate held various positions at New Engen, Inc., including Senior Manager and Performance Marketing Manager, where responsibilities involved leading a team focused on SEM results for enterprise clients and developing training processes. Kate also served as the Director of Marketing at ZenLedger.io, creating foundational marketing strategies that achieved a positive ROI. With a solid background at Avalara, Kate managed digital advertising for multiple business units and oversaw SEO/SEM initiatives. Earlier roles included marketing blogging and data supervision, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and English from Scripps College and a Master's in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University.
