Kim Tran

Kim Tran serves as the Head of HR Legal at GitHub since February 2022, bringing extensive experience from a decade at Microsoft, where roles included Senior Attorney for the Global Workplace Investigations Team and Global Employment Law Group Attorney. At Microsoft, Kim Tran managed workplace investigations and provided global employment law counsel, supporting diverse workforces across 16 countries. Previously, Kim Tran held the position of Employee Relations Manager at Seattle City Light and was Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group at Stafford Frey Cooper, focusing on human resource policy and employment litigation. Kim Tran possesses a JD from Lewis & Clark Law School, a BA from Tufts University, and a certificate in Human Resources from the University of Washington.
