Kirk Whayman

Kirk Whayman is an accomplished Art Director at GitHub since 2021, focusing on enhancing brand identity and building Design Systems to leverage contemporary design and development technologies. Previously, Kirk served as Head of UI Design at Flutter Entertainment Plc, where a design system was launched, resulting in the doubling of the design department. At Microsoft, Kirk held the position of Design Lead, establishing a new brand focused on Modern Life and conducting extensive user testing to refine UX/UI. As a Senior Brand Designer at Warner Bros. Discovery, Kirk directed branding for television shows, notably contributing to the successful launch of "Grand Designs." Early career experiences include roles as a Digital Designer at KW Design, where a mobile app was developed for combat sports accessibility, and Graphic Designer at Flag, creating a range of visual communication materials. Kirk holds a Master's Degree in Printmaking from Anglia Ruskin University and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication from Norwich University of the Arts.
