Shahil Rais

Shahil Rais is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Program Management at GitHub since 2022. Prior to this role, Shahil was the Founder and CEO of a stealth startup from 2019 to 2021 and held the position of Director of Program Management at NXP Semiconductors in 2018. Shahil's career at Intel Corporation spanned eight years, encompassing titles such as Director of Product Development, Systems Program Manager, and Engineering Manager. Earlier experiences include roles at NXP following its acquisition of Freescale Semiconductor, where Shahil worked as a Product & Design Engineer and Product Device Engineer, as well as a Research Scientist at TGen. Shahil holds an MBA in New Product Development from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and dual BS degrees in Applied Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, in addition to completing an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School.
