Thomas Chavas

Thomas Chavas is a software engineer at GitHub since October 2021, previously serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington from May 2018 to October 2021, focusing on the design and testing of targeted drug delivery systems. Additionally, Thomas volunteered as a back-end developer for the Washington COVID Vaccine Finder in early 2021, contributing to a project that centralized COVID vaccine availability information and garnered significant media attention. Prior to these roles, Thomas worked as a Chef De Partie at Sunshine Mountain Lodge, where responsibilities included supervising and training kitchen staff for a fine-dining restaurant. Thomas holds a PhD in Computational Proteomics from Imperial College London, as well as master's degrees in Chemistry from both École Polytechnique and Imperial College London.
