Alexandru Croitor

Alexandru Croitor is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab since February 2019, Alexandru has previously worked as a self-employed RoR + React Developer, specializing in single-page applications using React, Redux, and Ruby on Rails API services. Alexandru held the position of Ruby on Rails Tech Lead at Assembla for nearly a decade, contributing significantly from the project's early stages to a full Rails 4 implementation. Earlier roles include Senior Java Consultant at Tacit Knowledge and Java Developer at Edifecs, where responsibilities encompassed design specs, project development, and testing. Additionally, Alexandru's career began at the State University of Moldova, where responsibilities ranged from software development to system administration.
