Bindu Upadhyay

Bindu Upadhyay is a seasoned professional with expertise in service design and user experience research. Currently serving as a Senior Service Designer at GitLab since August 2025, Bindu was the first service designer in the organization. Previously, Bindu led service design at Mendix, focusing on cross-departmental collaboration, customer journey mapping, and establishing product design processes. Bindu’s earlier roles include contributions as a UX Researcher and Designer at Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as experience in product management and client services at System Insights, Inc. Bindu’s educational background includes a Dual Degree in Engineering Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an Engineering Doctorate in User System Interaction from Eindhoven University of Technology.
