Carolyn Bednarz

Carolyn Bednarz serves as the Sr. Director, People Business Partner - GTM at GitLab since January 2020, after holding the role of Director, People Business Partner - Global Field. Prior to joining GitLab, Carolyn spent over five years at Pivotal Software, Inc. in various HR roles including Director, HR Business Partner - Americas Field and Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner - Americas Field. Earlier in Carolyn's career, experience included positions at Dell EMC, where responsibilities included partnering with the R&D organization for the VPLEX business unit. Carolyn's early HR experience involved rotations through multiple HR functions as part of a leadership development program, along with internships that provided practical insights into HR operations. Carolyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with minors in Marketing and Psychology from Bryant University, as well as an MBA in International Business from Suffolk University.
