Cheryl L.

Cheryl L. is an accomplished Senior Engineering Manager with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently at GitLab since March 2020, Cheryl oversees engineering efforts in the Verify stage, managing multiple teams and directly mentoring engineering managers and a principal engineer. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Unbounce, where Cheryl focused on developer mentoring and team empowerment, and various positions at Hootsuite, where Cheryl contributed as both an Engineering Lead and Backend Developer. Cheryl's earlier career includes ownership of a software development consultancy and roles at well-known companies such as Bell Canada, Elastic Path Software, and Blast Radius. Cheryl holds a B.Sc in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University, obtained in 2004.
