Illya Klymov is a highly experienced software engineer and leader, currently serving as a Staff Frontend Engineer at GitLab since March 2019, and previously holding the position of Senior Frontend Engineer. As the CEO of JavaScript.Ninja since July 2015, Illya focuses on enhancing JavaScript proficiency in Kharkiv and throughout Ukraine. Prior leadership roles include CEO at WookieeLabs from November 2012 to January 2019, and Deputy CTO at an outsourcing company in 2012, where Illya was involved in process management. Earlier experience includes Project Manager and Team Lead at QArea from February 2011 to October 2012, and Team Lead at Navitron, where web applications for GPS/GSM monitoring were developed. Illya began a career in web and systems administration at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics from 2004 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Information Technologies, both from Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics.
