Meir Tolpin

Meir Tolpin is a Staff Backend Engineer with a background in security research from a nearly six-year career in the Israeli Army's Unit 8200. Transitioning to backend software engineering, they currently contribute to GitLab as a Senior Backend Engineer, focusing on advanced security features such as the Advanced SAST engine. Previously, Meir has served as a Course Instructor in Cyber Security and has specialized in malware research and threat detection in various roles. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel and have also pursued aviation training.
