Philippe Lafoucrière is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software security and engineering. Currently serving as a Security Architect at GitLab since January 2018, Philippe has held multiple key positions including Distinguished Security Engineer and Engineering Manager for Security Products, contributing to the development of integrated solutions for the software development lifecycle. Prior to this, Philippe co-founded Gemnasium, Inc., which specialized in security vulnerability management for open source code and was acquired by GitLab in 2018. Philippe also led Tech-Angels as CEO, providing software engineering services, and held CTO roles at both zonefranche and Betnet, focusing on production planning and the online betting industry, respectively. Philippe began a career in technology as Server Products Manager at Streamezzo and as CTO at Kamayo, supporting mobile media services before its acquisition by Streamezzo. Philippe holds an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, attained in 2003.
