Sandra Gittlen

Sandra Gittlen is a seasoned editor and writer with extensive experience in managing editorial content across various sectors, including business, technology, healthcare, and higher education. Currently serving as Principal Managing Editor at GitLab since October 2021, Sandra has also held roles such as Managing Editor and Senior Content Editor. Prior to GitLab, Sandra was self-employed as a freelance writer and editor from July 2004 to January 2023 and contributed to the New England Journal of Medicine from January 2016 to December 2021. Additional expertise includes working as Editor At Large for TechTarget, Editor for Network World, and a Closed Caption Writer and Freelance Reporter at WGBH and the State House News Service, respectively. Sandra holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Graduate Certificate in Women in Politics and Government from the University of Massachusetts - Boston.
