Stephen Walters serves as the Field CTO at GitLab since June 2022, providing thought leadership in DevOps, DevSecOps, and Value Stream Management. Walters champions Value Stream Management adoption and transformation, advocating for value-driven IT service delivery. As an Advocate at Team Topologies and a Value Stream Management Ambassador for the Value Stream Management Consortium since 2021, Walters has conducted extensive research in the field. Previous roles include Field CTO for CEM Digital at Everbridge, Solutions Architect at xMatters, and Tech Architecture Delivery Manager at Accenture, along with various positions at Cognizant Technology Solutions and Deutsche Bank. Walters holds a BTEC HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The University of Huddersfield.
