Tim Cheeney

Tim Cheeney is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in billing and collections, accounting management, and revenue operations. Currently serving as the Director of Billing and Collections at GitLab since March 2025, Tim previously held several positions at Twilio from January 2022 to March 2025, including Senior Manager and Billing Operations Manager. Tim's earlier experience includes roles at Zipwhip, where Tim was a Senior Accounting Manager for Revenue before the company was acquired by Twilio, and a Controller at Imprev, Inc., which was acquired by MoxiWorks. Tim's career began at Ascentis, serving as both Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant, with a foundation in finance education consisting of an M.B.A. in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and a BBA in Management and Psychology from Eastern Washington University.
