Andrey Badmaev has been involved in various roles in the business world since 2010. Andrey started their career as the CFO at Alfa-Leasing, a subsidiary of Alfa-Bank. In 2015, they founded Alfamobil, a leasing company for SMEs and car subscription for individuals. Within four years, they had grown the company to become the market leader with 50 branches, 800 employees, $700M assets, and $15M Net Profit. In 2019, they co-founded and co-CEOed Cerevrum, a technology company that makes education sessions more effective through VR/AR experiences. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of CanSay, a speech simulation with virtual humans to practice communicating. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Gitpod as the Finance & RevOps, an open-source developer platform automating the provisioning of ready-to-code development environments.
Andrey Badmaev completed their Master's degree in International Finance from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation between 2010 and 2012. Prior to this, they studied Financial Mathematics at the Ural State University named after A.M.Gorky from 2007 to 2009 and at the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2004 to 2007. In 2015, they attended the Antwerp Management School and obtained an EMBA. Andrey also took courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016 and at Sun Yat-sen University in 2015. In addition, Andrey Badmaev holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance obtained in April 2020 and a FFMS certificate series 1.0 of a specialist in the securities market for broker, dealer and securities management activities from SCRIN obtained in May 2007.
