Karen Scheid

Karen Scheid has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Karen started their career in the Israel Defense Forces in 1997, where they served as the IT Department Manager. During their time there, they successfully restructured the IT department and reduced customer complaints by 50%.

In 2000, they moved to Calanit-Carmon Inc, where they worked as a System and Network Administrator. Their responsibilities included system administration tasks, troubleshooting, and providing end-user assistance and training.

Karen then transitioned to Amdocs, joining in 2000 as a Configuration Control Senior SME. In this role, they managed and maintained the build/release cycle for a large cellular wireless billing system. Karen focused on advising and implementing automation to improve the build and release process.

Karen continued to advance within Amdocs, taking on various roles such as IT Infrastructure Expert, IT Infrastructure Manager, and Technologies Manager. In these positions, they achieved notable accomplishments such as implementing process automation frameworks, reducing costs, and improving workflow efficiency.

In 2013, they briefly worked as a self-employed Mobile Software Developer at Little App Helpers, where they developed and published an iPad app called "My Autism Day," which received media attention.

Since 2019, Karen has been a part of the Givelify team, initially serving as a DevOps Manager and later being promoted to Sr. DevOps Manager.
