Griff Green has a diverse work experience within the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Griff co-founded Giveth.io in 2016, a non-profit blockchain-based platform for charitable giving. In 2019, they initiated and orchestrated the Commons Stack effort and later became the product owner and fundraiser for the organization. Griff also worked as a steward and launch product owner for the Token Engineering Commons, leading the creation of a Commons Config Dashboard and organizing educational events and votes. Green co-founded DAppNode in 2017 and served as an advisor for iden3 in 2018, focusing on decentralized identity solutions. In 2016, they co-founded the White Hat Group (WHG) to secure funds and combat black hat hackers in the aftermath of the DAO Hack. Griff was also the community manager and curator for The DAO and Slock.it. Prior to their involvement in the blockchain industry, Green worked as a digital currency investor and evangelist, promoting Bitcoin adoption in Ecuador. Griff briefly served as the product owner for Aragon DAC in 2018.
Griff Green obtained their Engineer's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington between the years 2003 and 2007. Griff then pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Digital Currencies from the University of Nicosia between 2014 and 2016.
