Elsemiek G. is currently an Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, focusing on promoting women's economic empowerment in East Sudan. They have previously held various roles, including Contract Manager and an intern at the Multilateral Organisation and Human Rights Department at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Elsemiek has also served as a Board Member and External Affairs Commissioner at VINTRES, as well as a Student Assistant at the Legal Theory Department at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. They hold a Master of Laws in International Law and the Law of International Organizations, specializing in Human Rights, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Universiteit Leiden.
