Emrys Schoemaker

Emrys Schoemaker is a senior strategist and researcher specializing in digital transformation and governance within international affairs and development. Currently based in Amman, Jordan, Emrys leads the Policy & Advisory practice at Caribou Digital, focusing on digital governance and strategy for various clients, including governments and international organizations. With a PhD from the London School of Economics, Emrys has conducted extensive research in the Global South, particularly on digital identity and its social implications, while also having co-founded two companies in media and software. Their previous roles encompass project director positions with USAID, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and various advisory roles with organizations such as UNDP and the World Bank.
