Florian Berndt

Florian Berndt is a Senior Advisor at the GIZ Competence Centre Financial Systems Development, where they have contributed since 2016. Previously, they served as Project Director at the Congolese Central Bank and held various roles in financial system development, including Senior Project Manager at ICON-INSTITUT and Senior Programme Officer at Terrafina Microfinance. Florian's early career included positions as a Junior Professional for the German Development Service and as Head of the Microfinance Division in Burkina Faso. They hold a Master’s degree in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, earned in 1999.
