Jacques Sam is a microfinance, capacity building, and compliance advisor with extensive experience in international development. They have served as a Microfinance Specialist at Lux-Develop and as a Private Sector Specialist at USAID. Currently, Jacques leads a team focused on improving the national business and investment climate at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and operates their own firm. Jacques has also held roles such as Capacity Building Manager at Oikocredit and Senior Advisor for Market Access for the Poor at SNV. They are pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management at the University of Pittsburgh and hold a Microfinance degree from Colorado State University, in addition to a Bachelor of Sciences with Honors from the University of Lancaster.
