Jan Bock

Jan Bock is an experienced professional in forest management and environmental education, currently serving as a Planning Officer at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since October 2024. Previously, Jan held various roles at GIZ, including Program Manager and Regional Program Manager, focusing on initiatives such as forest landscapes, sustainable trade, and REDD+ programs in the Mesoamerican region. Jan's expertise encompasses project design, implementation, evaluation, and donor engagement, as well as a strong emphasis on international forest finance and private sector cooperation. Jan's educational background includes multiple Master's degrees in Forest Management and Environmental Education from Technische Universität Dresden and Universität Rostock.
