Julia Jesson is a Senior Component Leader for Climate Policy at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where they have contributed to projects in Ukraine and Mongolia since 2016. Prior to this role, Julia was a Project Leader focusing on low carbon strategies in the MENA region and an Expert developing concepts on water, green transport, and energy. They started their career as a Journalist at Sächsische Zeitung in 1996 and completed their education with a Magister in Eastern European Studies and Economics from Freie Universität Berlin in 2003. Additionally, Julia studied Czech politics and sociology at Charles University in 2000.
