Lea Knopf is an accomplished veterinary epidemiologist with extensive experience in public health and animal health sectors. Holding a DVM from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, Lea has worked in various capacities, including a postdoctoral position focused on risk-based surveillance systems at the Swiss Federal Veterinary Office and roles as Project Manager for Neglected Zoonotic Diseases with the World Health Organization. Lea served as Director for Institutional Relationships & Policy at the Global Alliance for Rabies Control and has held advisory roles in One Health at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Additional experience includes consulting as an independent epidemiologist and working with the World Organisation for Animal Health. A background in veterinary science was established with a med. vet. degree from Universität Bern.
