Mariam Babayan is a Project Advisor for the EU co-funded project "Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia" implemented by GIZ, where they apply expertise in EU competition law, innovation, and change management to foster private sector development in Armenia. Having worked with GIZ for over a decade, Mariam has held positions such as Senior Advisor on Competition Policy and Investment Promotion and Advisor for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and SME Development. They are dedicated to sustainability, good governance, and economic justice, and actively collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve impactful results. Mariam holds a Master of Laws from the American University of Armenia and a postgraduate degree in EU Competition Law from King's College London.
