Peter Hirsch

Peter Hirsch serves as the AWE Regional Manager for Latin America at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a position held since October 2020, focusing on market access and sustainable development through cooperation projects. Prior to this role, Peter was the Director of Education and Training at Cámara Colombo-Alemana | AHK Colombia from January 2015 to August 2020, leading initiatives in dual vocational training and quality management across multiple Latin American countries. Previous experience includes serving as the Director of International Affairs at F+U Group, Development Fund Manager at GIZ, and various research and management roles at organizations such as Gadjah Mada University, UNDP, and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics. Peter holds a Master of Arts in Humanitarian Assistance from both Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Groningen.
