Sandra Schuster serves as an Advisor for climate change and risk at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since April 2016, specializing in the design and support of diverse global and regional projects related to climate adaptation and resilience. Previous experience includes roles as a Manager for the Barbados project component with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 2013 to 2021, and as a Consultant with UNDP, where Sandra produced landmark reports for UNFCCC’s COP Paris. Other notable positions include being a Senior Climate and Atmospheric Scientist for the State Government of New South Wales, a Consultant for the Asian Development Bank, a Lead Author for the IPCC, and an Honorary Associate at Macquarie University. Sandra holds a PhD from Macquarie University and has contributed to academia as a Visiting Lecturer at UNSW.
