Simba Chitapi

Simba Chitapi is a skilled professional with extensive experience in urban planning and environmental advisory roles. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since September 2020, Simba has previously held positions at Zutari and Aurecon, managing multidisciplinary project proposals and coordinating fieldwork programs for informal housing projects in Namibia and South Africa. Additional expertise includes solid waste management and transport planning, with project involvement in Botswana, Kenya, and Senegal. With a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Cape Town, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Simba demonstrates a strong educational foundation and a commitment to infrastructure planning and development.
