Sylvie Hoster

Sylvie Hoster is currently the Head of Programme at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where they have also served in various capacities including Head of Unit for Access to Finance and Head of Programme for Sustainable Economic Development. Previously, they were an Executive Technical Manager at CIM/GTZ in Yemen and worked as a Freelance Consultant focusing on financial systems development for notable organizations like the World Bank and Columbia University. Sylvie began their career as a Research Assistant with the United Nations in 1999 and has held roles in project management at Bankakademie International. They hold a Master’s degree in Political Science, Economics, and Pedagogics from the University of Münster and are pursuing postgraduate studies in Senior Management at Open University.
