GL Sciences Inc. was established in 1968 in Japan and is now one of the leading suppliers of HPLC, GC and sample pretreatment consumables in Japan. GL Sciences began exporting Inertsil HPLC columns into the United States on a large scale in the early 1990s, and their primary trademarked product, Inertsil, quickly became recognized as one of the very best columns on the market. Including Inertsil HPLC columns, we manufacture silica packings from the raw materials by ourselves, which allowed us to acquire expertise in silica products. In addition to traditional spherical silica, our expertise has enabled commercialization of sponge-like “monolithic silica”, which can achieve high permeability and high resolution at the same time. This feature is utilized for our unique monolithic silica products: MonoCap - capillary HPLC column, MonoSelect - cartridge HPLC column, MonoTrap - sample collection material, and MonoSpin - sample pretreatment material.
