Peter Ip

Peter Ip serves as the General Counsel for Australia at GLAS since July 2021, having previously held the positions of Deputy General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel within the same organization. Peter's earlier experience includes a significant tenure at Herbert Smith Freehills from March 2014 to June 2021, where roles ranged from Senior Associate in Finance to Solicitor. Expertise includes structured and asset finance, capital markets, and corporate finance, with hands-on involvement in various financing transactions and securitisation activities. Additional experience includes secondments at Maia Financial and Deutsche Bank, as well as foundational roles in legal assistance and clerking at Herbert Smith Freehills. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and was recognized with the Australian Student Prize for Excellence and the New South Wales Premiers' Award for All-Round Excellence during education at Sydney Grammar.
