Matthew Bauer

Matthew Bauer has extensive experience in the field of market access and reimbursement. Matthew most recently served as the Director of Market Access for Glaukos Corporation since 2014. Prior to that, they were the Field Reimbursement Manager at Barrx Medical from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained and expanded payer coverage policies for Radiofrequency Ablation. Before that, Matthew worked at Medtronic Sofamor Danek from 2006 to 2010, initially as a Regional Director of Healthcare Economic Strategies and later in Healthcare Policy and Reimbursement. Matthew also had a role as a Strategic Account Manager at Ortho Biotech from 2000 to 2006. Matthew's earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Vice President of Managed Care & Physician Relations at NY Downtown Hospital from 1997 to 2000, and working in Hospital Contracting at Oxford Health Plans from 1993 to 1997. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated strong skills in payer contracting, reimbursement strategies, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Matthew Bauer earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from the State University of New York Cortland, where they studied from 1991 to 1993. Matthew then pursued further education at St. John's University, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, where they obtained their MBA degree in Marketing Management from 1999 to 2005.
