Michael Shears

Michael Shears has a diverse work experience in the medical and optical industries. Michael started their career in 2003 with Abbott Medical Optics, where they held various roles including Senior Region Manager and Director of US West Zone Cataract Sales. Michael then became the Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, where they had full P&L accountability and oversaw all commercial functions. In 2012, they became the Director of Commercial Operations for the Americas Consumer Eye Health division at Abbott. In 2017, they joined Johnson & Johnson Vision Care as the Director of Commercial Operations for Americas Consumer Eye Health. Later in the same year, they joined Glaukos Corporation as the Senior Director of Corporate Accounts.

Michael Shears obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Northwest Nazarene University between 1972 and 1976. Michael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the same university, completing it from 2012 to 2015.
